The Brunei Darussalam Association of Writers (Asterawani) brought together lovers of literature and culture during a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at Balai Sarmayuda, Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) yesterday.
The gathering featured stage performances, including poetry recitals, syair and essay poems, offering a platform for literary expression and cultural appreciation.
The celebration aimed to strengthen ties between Asterawani members, DBP and the wider literary, linguistic and cultural community, in a shared commitment to uphold the Malay language as Brunei Darussalam’s official language. – Fadley Faisal
