Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NiAT) Sdn Bhd, a local satellite communication service provider, hosted a brunch networking session to commemorate International Women’s Day at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf One Riverside, recently.
The event acknowledged and valued the company’s female team members for their hard work and contributions.
The session provided a platform for all employees to have an open discussion regarding gender equality in the workplace and discuss NiAT’s plan to provide a workspace that are equally comfortable for both.
The discussion shed light on all aspects of diversity among male and female employees.
To further promote gender equality within its workforce, the company offers flexible working arrangements for the comfort of its female employees, such as meeting their childcare needs and addressing other women-specific inconveniences.
The company said it has several female engineers working hands-on in the field alongside their male counterparts, and half of the company’s key management positions are held by women.
In terms of recruitment selection, it said it practises gender-inclusive recruiting in which all candidates, regardless of gender and job portfolio, are evaluated equally.
“This reflects NiAT’s commitment to supporting women in advancing their careers, promoting gender equality in its workforce, and creating a conducive environment for its female employees,” said the company.
The gathering aimed to further instil a gender-equal work culture and to raise awareness of women’s empowerment among NiAT’s employees.
