It has been 35 years since Jollibee opened its first stores in the country. In celebrating the milestone, Jollibee Brunei held its 35th anniversary at the open plaza of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital yesterday with fun activities and special appearances of Jollibee mascots and friends.
Jollibee Brunei Business Head Christina Ward said Jollibee continues to delight Bruneians by bringing the great taste and happiness with its well-loved and best-selling products such as the popular Chickenjoy, Beef Burgers and Jolly Spaghetti that are affordable and delicious.
She added that Jollibee grew steadily over the years since its first embarkation in 1987 and has been spreading the joy of eating enjoyed by Bruneians. For this, Jollibee thanked everyone, especially parents for instilling the love of enjoying Jollibee delicacies with their children.
“The 35th anniversary celebration is a very special way to express our thanks to the Bruneian community and we aim to continue with strict adherence on our food quality, service delivery and cleanliness of our stores.
“We will duplicate the success and make Jollibee in Brunei Darussalam forever part of Jollibee’s success story,” she said.
To date, Jollibee has opened 19 stores and four drive-through outlets.
In celebrating the occasion, Jollibee is offering a lucky draw, from August 29 to December 10.
Patrons stand a chance to win either an Apple Watch Series 7, a Royal Brunei travel voucher worth BND1,000 or drive home a brand new Kia Seltos GTLX.
To join, patrons purchasing any Chickenjoy product need to submit the entry form in the box provided at Jollibee stores.
Ayura, a parent who came from Kampong Lumut in the Belait District, said her children love Jollibee. “We came to support Jollibee’s 35th anniversary and participate in activities to enliven the celebration.”
The public also took part in activities including a lucky draw, Chickenjoy Hunt, games and magic shows.
