Category 4 COVID cases rises to 10

Category 4 COVID-19 cases rose to 10 yesterday, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The Category 4 patients require respiratory assistance and close monitoring, it added.

Meanwhile, no cases were in Category 5, which requires treatment at the intensive care unit.

No COVID-19 fatalities were reported yesterday, according to the MoH.

For COVID-19 vaccinations, 73.9 per cent of the country’s citizens and residents have received three doses of the vaccine, while 4.9 per cent have been inoculated for the fourth time.

Meanwhile, 78 per cent children aged five to 11 years have received the second dose of the vaccine, while 51.7 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have received the third dose.

A total of 1,779 cases have recovered yesterday, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 185,375.
