Brunei Darussalam reported a decrease in the number of cases in Category 4 to five and one case in Category 5 yesterday, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Category 4 cases require respiratory assistance and under close monitoring while Category 5 cases require treatment in the intensive care unit.
No COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours, said the MoH.
Meanwhile, 74.4 per cent of the country’s population have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 5.9 per cent have received the fourth shot.
The MoH also reported that 78.9 per cent of children aged five to 11 have received a second dose, while 52.4 per cent aged 12 to 17 have received their first booster shot.
A total of 194,085 recoveries have been recorded since the start of the pandemic.
