Cash reward offered for information on shop vandals

A cash reward will be offered for information leading to the suspects involved in vandalising a jewellery shop owned by Lau Shiew Choi in the Belait District.

“My shop has been in business for many years and has never experienced such incident. The vandalism on August 21 is the first after operating in this area for 50 years,” said Lau.

He said he got to know about the vandalism through a close friend’s message reporting red paint in front of the shop.

Lau checked CCTV footage and found two individuals committing the act. It was reported to the police and the video was submitted as evidence.

He said vandalism is an irresponsible act not stemming from any conflict. He hoped the issue will be resolved soon and authorities bring those responsible to justice. – Azlan Othman
