The Firqah Halawatul Aswats and Firqah Halawatuzzahra emerged as champions in the male and female categories at the finals of the 12th Tausyeh Competition 2023, organised by Radio Television Brunei (RTB at the International Convention Centre in Berakas yesterday.
In the male category, Firqah Arroja clinched the first-runner up position and Firqah Nurul Ittihad secured the second-runner up title, while Firqah Al-Khalil received a consolation prize.
In the female category, Firqah Ulfatunnisa claimed the second place and Wardatul Jannah emerged as the third-place winner with Amiratul Mumtazah receiving a consolation prize.
The champions were awarded BND3,000 in cash along with a trophy. The first-runner ups received a BND2,000 cash prize and a trophy, while the third-place winners were presented with BND1,000 in cash and a trophy.
Additionally, Firqah Halawatul Aswats was recognised as the best group earning BND500 in cash and a trophy.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the guest of honour, presented prizes to competition winners.
