Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Brunei held a Hari Raya open house at its residence at Kampong Sungai Besar, celebrating the occasion with clients and associates yesterday.
“Alhamdulillah, this year’s Hari Raya is a little bit more special as we have missed out on celebrating together after several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said SCB Brunei Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pengiran Aki Ismasufian bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim.
“Although the feeling might not be the same as the times before the pandemic, it is definitely much more cheerful compared to the previous years.”
The CEO shared that on Friday, they celebrated Hari Raya with guests from government ministries, stakeholders and government-linked companies, and today they will be hosting SCB staff and their families.
“We have close to 300 staff members, and everyone is looking forward to the celebration, especially after the pandemic,” he said.
The SCB CEO said that they are also marking the 65th anniversary of SCB’s presence in the country.
He said there are plans to mark the occasion with campaigns, but also activities related to their corporate social responsibility.
