Youth were encouraged to carry on religious practices after Ramadhan during a religious talk held online on Friday.
Around 110 participants attended the Pejuang Fair programme and Recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi organised by Da’ie Youth volunteers, an organisation under the Youth Religious Programme Secretariat, Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI).
Participants included Da’ie Youth committee members, Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah students, Al-Quran4Life programme participants, officers and staff of PDI as well as members of the public.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, and continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi and concluded with Doa Seeking Protection against COVID-19 and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
It also held a religious talk on ‘Istiqomah Selepas Ramadhan’ by PDI Religious Officer Haji Muhammad Nasir bin Haji Othman.
He said acts of piety during Ramadhan should not be carried out only during the holy month but also as “continuous development” into the future.
He also said Istiqamah is among the practices loved by Allah the Almighty, as it helps to increase an individual’s capabilities in time management.
The programme aimed at encouraging Muslims to always follow the example of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi every Fridays.
