The authorities have been doing a stellar in getting the populace to adopt a healthy lifestyle. As a frequent jogger at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, I’m heartened by how lively the park is becoming.
However, being located in the capital means one is hard pressed to find a free parking spot.
Most would opt to park on the side of the road instead of settling with the number of paid parking facilities in the vicinity. As a result, a few roads are now so clogged with parked vehicles at certain hours that motorists are unable to get through.
I am fortunate to reside in the capital. So it is only a mere five-minute walk from my flat.
But the same can’t be said for people who would like to visit the park daily and are less inclined to break the law.
I believe it is high time to take a closer look at the existing layout of the capital and allot a plot especially for park visitors. At the rate that it’s going, I won’t be surprised if it becomes a hub for fitness enthusiasts.
