Brunei Darussalam begins the holy month of Ramadhan today, marked by the firing of 12 cannon shots by Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien yesterday.
The sounds of Sunnat Tarawih and Sunnat Witir prayers echoed from mosques, surau and religious halls nationwide yesterday.
The prayers were followed with the reading of Al-Quran in the Tedarus as congregants continued to glorify the Ramadhan night.
