Bruneian students pursuing their studies in Canada this year, attended a pre-departure session at the residence of High Commissioner-Designate of Canada to Brunei Darussalam Ambra Dickie yesterday.
The students participated in a discussion on education and life in Canada with the high commissioner-designate.
The majority of the students are recipients of the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development programme (SEED), whereby for the 2022-2023 session, nine Bruneians have been for the programme.
The high commissioner-designate noted that Canada and Brunei have the same focus on education. “Every year, nearly 500,000 people chose Canada as their study destination. I wish the Bruneian students all the best in their studies,” she said.
