Cambodia announces one new Omicron case

THE STAR – The Cambodian Ministry of Health yesterday reported one new Omicron community case, with 22 recoveries and no new deaths.

As of yesterday, Cambodia had recorded a total of 136,252 Covid-19 cases with 133,095 recoveries and 3,056 fatalities.

Meanwhile, a senior health ministry official on April 28 lauded workers and the public for “volunteering to get vaccinated against COVID-19”.

Ministry of Health secretary of state Or Vandine, who doubles as the head of the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, was speaking to the press during a visit to a vaccination site at Samraong Thom Special Economic Zone in eastern Kandal province that aims to inoculate 6,000 workers.
