Newly-appointed Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir in his inaugural speech as the 12th Commander of RBLF on March 1 conveyed his appreciation to the outgoing Commander of RBLF Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan for his leadership and wisdom in leading the RBLF since August 1, 2020.
Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak highlighted that the existing cooperation gave him great confidence to lead responsibly and emphasised total commitment to achieving RBLF’s vision and mission.
He reminded all personnel to uphold their loyalty, discipline and maintain the organisation’s readiness, credibility, and security under their leaderships.
The commander gave the speech during a handover ceremony organised by RBLF at Pahlawan Hall, Berakas Garrison.
The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Assistant Director of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Religious Department (JAMA’AT) Major Ariffin bin Amit @ Hamid followed by a speech from the outgoing Commander of RBLF.
Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi expressed his appreciation for the continued support and efforts from all RBLF personnel during his tenure as the Commander of the RBLF. He expressed pride and satisfaction for RBLF’s achievements, resilience, and robust team spirit, especially in managing the COVID-19 pandemic. He hoped that RBLF would remain intact and credible in accomplishing every responsibility under the new Commander. He expressed his congratulations to the new Commander of RBLF and prayed that Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak will always be blessed and guided by Allah the Almighty in fulfilling his new tasks and responsibilities.
The ceremony continued with the signing of the Handing Over Certificate and handing over of Tongkat Kepimpinan Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei marking the official handing over of the Commander of RBLF place of duty. The event continued with refreshments at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison and concluded with a Doa Selamat, group photo and the signing of parchments by both former and newly-appointed Commander of RBLF.
