The best mechanism in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak is for the nation to stand united, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah said at a press conference yesterday.
He was responding to a media query regarding the contingency plan available to tackle the third wave of the pandemic.
“As we go through this third wave, ideas are pitched to the COVID-19 Task Force in search of the best way forward,” the minister said, before calling on the nation to show unity in fighting the virus, and to provide feedback for the task force to sift through.
“Public feedback has been quite encouraging, but the ultimate decision must be made by taking into account the nation’s welfare as a whole,” he said.
