As a lifetime sports fan, I am elated to see our athletes do so well in the SEA Games in Vietnam, especially given that the pandemic has halted all tournaments locally, making it challenging for them to be competition-ready.
However, now that we have reached endemicity, have the authorities considered bringing back local events for both national athletes and amateurs to flex their muscles? I believe a lot of sport enthusiasts would love to have a platform to release some of the COVID-19 frustration.
