I am writing to express my concern regarding the unavailability of a 24-hour canteen and convenience store at the public hospital.
I believe these services were halted during the COVID-19 pandemic. But now that we are out of the woods, these facilities have remained closed despite them playing a crucial role in catering to staff, patients and visitors around the clock.
In the past few months, during several emergency visits to hospital, not being able to access certain necessities has become a source of frustration for me. Thus, I would like to call on the authority to consider reinstating these 24-hour services. Not only would their availability enhance the overall experience for patients and their family members, it would align with the authority’s mission to provide the public with comprehensive healthcare services.
