As a person who enjoys the occasional lemang, I would hate for it to suddenly disappear.
However, I can’t help but wonder why of all the roadside vendors, lemang sellers are the only ones who tend to leave their belongings behind.
It is not restricted to certain sellers either; I’m seeing such a practice everywhere. What if one of the tables or chairs was blown onto the road by a strong gust of wind? It would no doubt pose danger to motorists.
With the country bracing for more storms in the coming weeks, I hope the authorities could speak with these lemang vendors before something untoward happens.
