I use Jalan Kiulap in my daily commute to work, and on days when I have to work overtime, I dread having to traverse through the stretch as the lights are usually dimmer than other roads.
It is worse during rainy nights. And we are not talking about heavy downpours. I find that even the slightest bit of rain is enough for the road to submerge. Topped with poor lighting, motorists unfamiliar with the area could unknowingly drive in floodwater and lose control of their vehicles, which is a disaster waiting to happen.
I would like to call on the authorities to look into improving the sewerage in the area, to make the road a safer place for road users.
