Call for donors as blood reserves dwindle

The Ministry of Health (MoH) called on the public to help replenish dwindling blood reserves at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre and blood banks across all district hospitals. The shortage is for all blood types.

Donors can visit the Blood Donation Centre or nearby blood banks.

Those wishing to donate at the Blood Donation Centre are encouraged to book a slot through the BloodKad app.

From Monday to Thursday and Saturday, the operating hours at the RIPAS Hospital Blood Donation Centre are from 8am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 4pm; Suri Seri Begawan Hospital Blood Bank from 8am to 11.30am and 1.45pm to 3.30pm; and Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital Blood Bank from 9am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

The public can also donate blood at mobile blood donation campaigns scheduled for today and February 5, from 10am to 3pm at the Event Stage, Level 1, Mabohai Shopping Complex. Slot booking via BloodKad app is highly encouraged.
