Cafe allowed to occupy premise after being issued notice to vacate

James Kon

A cafe popular among locals has been allowed to occupy their premise after being issued a Notice to Vacate the Premises on January 31.

According to an Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi) statement, the cafe’s appointed qualified person submitted the application to obtain an occupation permit (OP) on Friday and the application was approved the same day.

The Ministry of Development reminded developers (including owners, operators and tenants of building units/premises) to liaise with the appointed qualified person responsible for informing developers about the status of applications submitted to the ABCi and that any outstanding matters are required to be resolved with relevant agencies.
