Cadets mark end of training with Khatam Al-Quran

A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was held for 12 cadet officers – nine male and three female – in conjunction with the completion of their training as assistant police superintendents of Squad 1/2023, at the Banquet Hall of the Officers’ Mess at the Police Headquarters in Gadong on Tuesday.

The ceremony commenced with Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the guest of honour, leading the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of Al-Quran verses by the Khatam participants, and the recitation of Takhtim and Doa Khatam, led by the cadet officers.

The event continued with a Dikir Marhaban performance by the Royal Brunei Police Force’s Dikir group and the ceremonial sprinkling of scented oil, initiated by the guest of honour and his spouse Pengiran Datin Hajah Zauyah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman, along with invited officers and family members of the cadet officers.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin, his spouse, directors, deputy directors and senior officers were also present.

The graduation parade for the assistant police superintendents of Squad 1/2023 is scheduled to take place today at the Parade Ground, Police Training Centre.
