The Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) is looking forward to the next 20 years in Brunei Darussalam – deepening its presence, not only locally, but also abroad connecting with various business chambers in the region, said BBBF Chair Siva Subramaniam at an event to mark the BBBF’s 20th anniversary celebrations at the Radisson Hotel in the capital on Saturday.

“We thank our members for their support in helping us achieve our goals,” he said.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was the guest of honour, at the event joined by over 70 BBBF members and guests.

Subramaniam noted that from their humble beginning of around 20 members, BBBF has grown into a vibrant and energetic organisation with over 70 members from a wide range of industries, such as banking, oil and gas and education.

Standard Chartered Bank Brunei CEO Pengiran Aki Ismasufian bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim said it is a significant milestone for the association which has contributed to the business landscape through its members with networking opportunities and thought leadership events.

Deputy British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Catherine Pochkhanavala-Cleeve also delivered opening remarks.

The BBBF organises regular activities which engage members and offer them opportunities to network.
