BTS star hits ‘right’ notes

SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – BTS leader RM’s second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” has made waves in the music industry, earning spots on several semiannual best albums charts compiled by prestigious international music magazines.

Billboard lauded the album as “one of the richest albums released in 2024,” praising RM for his boundary-pushing creativity. The magazine noted, “The artist simply refuses to acknowledge the existence of any boundaries within K-pop, yet the album still sounds like a coherent and natural extension of one man’s creative vision.”

Rolling Stone highlighted the album’s “psychedelia-tinged and soulful” qualities, commenting on RM’s lyrical prowess and the expansive musical landscapes created by him and his collaborators.

NME also praised the album, describing it as a “deliciously frenetic and introspective listen.” The magazine spotlighted the collaboration with Little Simz on the track “Domodachi” as a standout piece.

Released in late May, the 11-track album debuted at No 5 on the Billboard 200, solidifying RM’s presence as a solo artist on the global stage.
