ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – Jungkook of BTS reached another milestone with his solo digital single.
He surpassed the 2.3 billion listens mark on Spotify with his first solo single “Seven (feat. Latto),” cementing the pioneering position he holds for an Asian artist on the platform.
The single from 2023 ranked No. 85 on the most-streamed songs chart in the history of the music platform as well. “Seven” spent 91 weeks straight on its Weekly Top Songs Global chart, a record for a K-pop solo singer, and topped its Daily Top Songs Global chart 71 times, another first for an Asian act.
He is breaking records on Billboard for an Asian soloist as well, staying on the Global 200 for 89 weeks and Global excl. US for 90 weeks, ranking No. 132 and No. 76, respectively. He made a historic chart-topping debut on Billboard’s Hot 100 with the single and stayed on it for 14 more weeks.
