Bryan Chiew emerged overall winner of the 20th Rotary Charity Golf Tournament after carding a score of 76 in the best gross category at the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club in Kampong Mentiri yesterday.
Meanwhile, Ricky Ng took the best nett prize after posting a score of 70 in the best nett event.
Lim Ching Hoo won Division ‘B’ followed by KK Han in second place and Gabriel Chiong in third place.
George Kho sealed top spot in Division ‘C’ while Ting Heng Lee finished runners-up and Ruel Valencia came third.
As one of the events under the Rotary calendar, it brought together golfers, corporate sponsors and private donors to raise funds for their Bursary award projects.
Proceeds for the golf tournament will be used to provide school fees and support for needy students from low income families in Brunei.
Funds raised from the previous 19 editions have successfully benefitted over 200 students to further their studies, ranging from primary to university levels.
The event was held for the first time after a year-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fifty-two participants took part in the event.
