Brunei’s youth encouraged to uphold national duties, values

Some 250 students attended a nationhood briefing programme at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Nakhoda Ragam Campus.

The briefing, titled ‘Roles and Responsibilities as Citizens of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’, was delivered by Head of the Strategic Communications Division at the Information Department Mufidah binti Abdul Hakim.

Topics covered included the duties and responsibilities of citizens towards the country and its leadership, as well as their roles within society and family in contributing to national well-being.

Organised by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, through the Nationhood Unit of the Strategic Communications Division, the programme aims to instil a sense of love for the monarch, nation and country while fostering patriotism among students.

It also aligns with Brunei Vision 2035 and the objectives outlined in the National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020-2035. Head of the School of Building Technology Services at IBTE Nakhoda Ragam Campus Noorisman bin Mentarais was present. – Fadley Faisal
