Brunei’s young entrepreneurs head to China for trade fair

The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB) will participate in the China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair in Zhaoqing, Guangdong province, China today to September 22.

The event is a continuous effort to foster ties between young entrepreneurs from China and ASEAN member countries, enhance mutual cooperation and strengthen regional economic integration.

Representing the association are YEAB President Goh Chai Li and members Awangku Abdul Azim bin Pengiran Yusof, Shaikh Ahmad Khalis bin Shaikh Haji Khalid, Alan Wong Yee Pin, Muhammad Syafiq Syukri bin Arifin and Dayangku Fatin Afiqah binti Pengiran Haji Tajuddin.

A sending-off ceremony was held yesterday at the Brunei International Airport attended by Legislative Council (LegCo) member Yang Berhormat Chong Chin Yee as the Vice President of YEAB, and representative of Hengyi Industries Pengiran Yura Masraniwaty binti Pengiran Yura Perkasa.

The YEAB president said the delegation is excited to represent Brunei Darussalam at the event and contribute to the strengthening of ties between the Sultanate and China.

Hengyi, a prominent supporter of YEAB, is sponsoring the trip, showing its commitment to empowering Brunei’s young entrepreneurs on the global stage.

As a founding member of various associations, such as the Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs – Asia, ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneurs Association, and ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council, YEAB continues to be at the forefront of promoting entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration among the youth.

YEAB’s participation will provide a platform for political and business figures, as well as young entrepreneurs from both China and ASEAN member countries, to engage in insightful dialogues and explore new avenues of cooperation under the theme ‘New Opportunities for China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Cooperation’. – Rokiah Mahmud
