Brunei Darussalam represented by the Vikings Ultimate team made their maiden appearance in the Asia Oceanic Ultimate and Guts Championship 2023 (AOUGC) held at the Ayala Alabang Country Club in Manila, Philippines recently.
The local club team was ranked 14th out of 17 entrants, finishing ahead of Thailand, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.
Brunei Vikings eventually placed second in the placement pool after finishing fourth in a tough group which consisted teams from the Philippines, Australia and Singapore.
The team was also ranked fourth for SOTG (Spirit of the Game), a scoring system based on several categories highlighting the fundamentals of the sport.

The losing teams in the crossover match were entered in the mid pool to determine teams which finished between ninth to 12th.
The Vikings team also thanked the Mumong Sports Complex for providing them the opportunity to train and use their facilities.
They also thanked their sponsors including Master G collection, Laundry Hub, and Klippa Co.
