A team of Brunei Darussalam squash players left the country yesterday for the Kaamatan Festival Squash Championship 2024 to be held at Likas Squash Court in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
The championship will commence today and will see some of Brunei Darussalam’s top squash players battle it out with squash players from England, China, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Among Brunei Darussalam representatives are the top men squash players Lim Kok Sheng, Md Fauzi Zaini, Abang Huzairie, Benny Ong Boon Shien, Chistensen Areck, Asmad Umar, Shawal Noralifkhan, Abang Hadi Asyarie and Choo Cheok Wah. While the women players are represented by Brunei Darussalam top ranks – Hamidah Ismail, Amalina Matshah and Christina Ester.
Brunei Darussalam junior squash player Zachery Prabhakaran will also compete in the boys under-13 categories. – James Kon
