Bruneian citizens and residents should be grateful for the blessings bestowed by Allah the Almighty and just saying ‘Alhamdulillah’ is not enough.
Muslims must make use of the blessings bestowed by Allah the Almighty, such as resources, wealth and time, to be closer to Him.
This was said by Assistant Religious Development Officer at the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) Muhammad Fuad bin Matahir in his talk ‘Be grateful of National Day blessing’ during the 77th Munajat night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS).
Muhammad Fuad added that the Sultanate’s citizens and residents should contribute to make Brunei Vision 2035 a success.
The event was joined by youth preachers from the PDI, mosque committee members from Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah Mosque, Kampong Keriam Mosque and Kampong Masin Mosque as well as religious teachers under the Islamic Studies Department and Malay Association of Kampong Keriam (PESAKA).
Over 500 trainees from National Service Programme (PKBN), 101 congregants from mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide as well as employees from MoRA and MCYS also participated.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, the guest of honour officiated the event by reciting Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah.
It continued with Surah Yaasiin read by Head of Religious Teacher at Tanjung Kindana Primary School Haji Norzlan bin Haji Sapar joined by religious teachers from Pengiran Anak Puteri Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah Religious School.
It was followed by Doa Munajat recited by Acting Secretary of Brunei Islamic Religious Council Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop.
It continued with Selawat Tafrijiyyah led by PESAKA members and Kampong Keriam Mosque Takmir Committee members.
The recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam concluded the event.
