Bruneian culture shared in Vietnam

An intercultural event was held at FPT University in Da Nang in Vietnam recently, bringing together university students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Osaka University, Japan, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia, FPT University, Vietnam, University of Singapore and University of the Philippines.

The event featured a series of cultural exchanges highlighting the diverse traditions of each participating country.

Students engaged in the exchange of traditional foods, allowing participants to experience unique flavours from each region.

Additionally, traditional games were introduced, providing a hands-on experience of cultural pastimes.

Souvenirs were exchanged as well as a special activity involving the exchange of stamps, fostering deeper connection among the participants.

The event concluded with a series of performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the participating universities.

Among the highlights was a silat performance by UBD students.

Students from the University of the Philippines, meanwhile, captivated the audience with an acapella performance.

Universiti Teknologi Petronas students presented a showcase of local Malaysian attire from different puak, followed by a vibrant J-pop dance by a student from Osaka University.

After the event, 300 students across the universities gathered for a group photo session.
