Kimz, cosplaying as Jinx from Arcane: League of Legends was crowned as the winner in the Coswalk Contest at Pusat Insani, Seria last Sunday, followed by Masywuu cosplaying Cereza from Bayonetta 3 in second place and 02 cosplaying the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST) Helljumper from Halo 3 in third place.

The top three contestants received trophies, cash prizes and bragging rights.

Some 19 contestants made their way onto stage for a brief interview with the judges on their characters and the efforts they made. Each contestant was also given one minute to perform on stage, re-enacting their character’s signature poses and lines from their respective series and game titles.

Seasoned veteran and local cosplayers MystikaFae and Lord Zedd led the judge’s panel, who assessed the contestants based on the quality of their cosplays, with extra marks for self-crafted costumes and props, as well as the accuracy of their characters.

The competition, part of the Ampro Clash Series (ACS) Grassroot Cup, was organised by The Allegiance Brunei in collaboration with CRIT Esports, with the former being a community of friends and cosplayers from across the nation sharing the same passion for cosplay.

The competition aimed to provide opportunities to display the ingenuity cosplay community to the public, as well as showcase cosplaying talents among Bruneians.

The Allegiance hopes that the competition will elevate Bruneian cosplay to an international level and set the standard for future cosplay contests.
