Awangku Mohd Noor Sham @ Awangku Hidie bin Pengiran Hidup received the Mastera Young Writer Award and a cash prize of IDR25 million (roughly BND2,222) in Jakarta, Indonesia on Wednesday.
The award is one of the highest recognitions to young Mastera writers who have demonstrated their excellence, dedication, and a commitment to addressing humanitarian issues in their respective countries through their literary works, said the organiser.
Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab as Chairman of Mastera Brunei Darussalam was also present at the event. – Rokiah Mahmud
