The Brunei veteran basketball team (aged 60 and above) on Monday received a jersey sponsorship from Fitness Zone ahead of the upcoming 2023 Macau International Chinese Basketball Tournament.
The team included Goh Kim Tian, Ho Poh San, Soon Chin Long, Lim Ming Ann, Goh Kok Ann, Albert Chu Fook Kun, Lim Peng Kok, Ong Tze Keu, Ang Peng chin and Ken Khoo.
In preparation for the tournament, the Brunei veteran basketball team also hosted a friendly basketball game against the Media and Friends team.
The Media and Friends grabbed a victory of 57-45. The Media and Friends team had a flying start when Law Kok Ming had a 10-0 after tip off. However veteran team’s sharpshooter Meng and Poh San managed to cut the lead with their three points. Both teams were tie with 32 a piece by halftime.
A consolidated push in the third and fourth quarter led by Wong Der Horng and Loo Yau Wai in offence helped pull the Media and Friends team to victory.
