The Brunei Darussalam under-20 national team suffered a heavy loss in the 2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-20 Asian Cup qualification following a 13-0 drubbing at the hands of Thailand at the Buriram City Stadium in Buriram, Thailand last night.

The heavy defeat meant that the Young Wasps had conceded a whopping 28 goals in just two games after they were humbled 15-0 by Iraq in their opening match.

Brunei under-20 head coach Aminuddin Jumat’s charges had a first-half to forget after they had seven goals pass them before losing control again until the final whistle.

The team will conclude their campaign against Philippines, who lost 2-0 to Iraq in an earlier kick-off, on September 29. – Fadhil Yunus
