The Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam signed a contract for the acquisition of Airbus C295 tactical military transport aircraft to become the 39th operator worldwide and the eighth in the Asia-Pacific region.
The new order reinforces the C295’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the Royal Thai Army, Philippines Air Force, Vietnam People Air Force, Indonesian Air Force, and Indonesian Police and, from next year, the Indian Air Force and the Bangladesh Army, operating the aircraft. Airbus has sold a total of 279 C295 making it the undisputed leader in its class.
