The Ministry of Health held a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) discussion session at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) yesterday to explore cooperation as well as to share views and discuss innovative solutions in HTA in the country.
A team of consultants from the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Programme (HITAP) at Thai Ministry of Public Health was invited to speak on the potential of HTA at the event.
The consultants delivered a talk ‘Role of HTA to support Universal Health Coverage (UHC): Experience of Thailand’ that touched on the background on universal health coverage, use of HTA application in Thailand and case studies, and finding potential partners for HTA.
Meanwhile, senior medical officer Pengiran Dr Ahmad Syukri bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahim delivered a talk on the importance of HTA in the Sultanate. – James Kon
