    Brunei sends humanitarian aid to Myanmar

    A Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) aircraft departed on Friday carrying humanitarian aid to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, following the recent earthquake that struck the country on March 28, 2025.

    The relief effort, made under the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, involved the delivery of essential supplies to assist those affected by the natural disaster.

    A send-off ceremony was held at the Rimba Air Force Base, attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, as well as Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Brunei Darussalam Ms Khin Sandar.

    Also present were senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC), and the Myanmar Embassy in Brunei.
