Brunei scout representatives attend Malaysia meeting

The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) delegation attended the 18th ASEAN Scout Association Regional Cooperation (ASARC) in Penang, Malaysia recently.

Chief Commissioner of PPNBD Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali led the delegation joined by the deputy chief commissioner and the international commissioner.

Malaysia Scout Council member Tan Sri Dato’ Johari bin Abdul officiated the meeting to discuss the direction, progress and sustainability of the scout movement at the ASEAN level.

PPNBD provided a report on activities and promoted the participation of ASEAN member countries in the 5th Brunei Darussalam National Jamboree that will be held from December 2 to 7.

The ASARC aimed to encourage and enhance collaboration by strengthening cooperation among ASEAN member countries based on scout principles and the ASEAN Charter, aid the  development and promotion of scouting in ASEAN member countries, and address scout-related issues. – Rokiah Mahmud
