Brunei’s representative, Dayangku Ummi Siti Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki, departed for Indonesia late Monday night to participate in the 4th International Holy Quran Competition, which will take place in Jakarta from January 28 to February 1.
Present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell was Senior Religious Officer at the Islamic Da’wah Development Division, Ministry of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Umiyati binti Haji Mohammad Noor.
Accompanying the national participant is Dayang Hajah Siti Noor Dzuhairah binti Haji Awang Damit, who serves as both coach and delegation manager.
Dayangku Ummi Siti Syazana previously earned recognition as the runner-up (Qariah category) in the National Musabaqah Al-Quran Adult Finals 1445H/2024M and champion in the 2020 National Musabaqah Al-Quran Adult Finals. – Fadley Faisal
