Despite the challenges brought about by the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020, and the second wave of the outbreak in August last year, Brunei Darussalam recorded a positive increase in 2021 compared to 2020.
The gross output value of the major resources sector as a whole in 2021 recorded a significant rise over the achievement in 2020 – an increase of about 25 per cent – from BND651 million in 2020 to BND814 million
in 2021.
