Brunei records one COVID-19 death

Brunei Darussalam recorded a COVID-19 death yesterday while the average rate of infections last week remained relatively flat at 168 cases per day compared to previous week’s 160.

Some 20,809 antigen rapid test (ART) results were uploaded to the BruHealth app where 5.6 per cent were tested positive.

This was revealed by the Ministry of Health in a statement.

Some 179 new cases were reported yesterday where 177 were detected through ART and two through RT-PCR laboratory tests.

There are no patients in Categories 4 and 5.

As of March 19, 79.1 per cent of Brunei residents received at least three doses of COVID-19 vaccine and 12 per cent with four shots.
