Four COVID-19 patients passed away in the past 24 hours yesterday while there are two cases in Category 5 needing treatment in intensive care unit and four in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and under close monitoring.
This was shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in the daily updates on COVID-19.
The COVID-19 vaccination coverage rate in the Sultanate continues to increase with 73.8 per cent of the third dose administered the third dose while 4.4 per cent received the fourth vaccine shot.
A total of 77.4 per cent of second dose were administered to children aged five to 11 years old while 51.4 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have received the third shot.
Some 1,497 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 176,612.
