    Brunei reaffirms will to fight cybercrime

    Brunei Darussalam continues to enhance cybersecurity measures through establishing cybercrime units, legislation and regulation said Attorney General Dato Seri Paduka Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa at the 13th ASEAN-China Prosecutors-General Conference in Vietnam.

    The attorney general added that that continuous collaboration and cooperation among member states, public and private agencies is important in the success of the fight against high-tech crimes and to uphold the rule of law.

    The conference, which ends today, is an annual gathering of heads of prosecutorial agencies from ASEAN member states and China. This year’s conference is themed ‘Enhancing International Cooperation in the Fight against High-Tech Crimes and Transnational Crimes’.

    At the end of the Conference, a joint declaration was signed by the heads of delegations from ASEAN member states and China to reaffirm their commitments to enhance cooperation to fight against transnational crimes including high-tech crimes.
