Ruzaini Mahadi emerged winner in the 10km men’s open category of the Brunei Night Run Ramadhan Edition after clocking a time of 00:36:21 along the vicinity of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium recently.
Hafiz Hamzulani finished runners up after recording a time of 00:38:07, with Arikchely Ariyl Arikah Ariyl completing the podium in third with a time of 0:39:43.
Meanwhile, Noorhanisah binti Haji Abdul Ghani won top spot in the 10km women’s open category after posting a time of 0:47:58.
Siaw Khim Tho claimed second place with a time of 0:48:04 while Siti Nur Amirah settled for third place with a time of 0:50:49.
Over 100 registered in the men’s event while nearly 80 runners competed in the women’s event.
The course took runners into a straight road along Jalan Menteri Besar and Jalan Kebangsaan as they passed buildings such as the Embassy of the Philippines and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Haji Mohammad Rosfazillah bin Haji Yusly presented the prizes to the winners.
