Brunei, Malaysian celebrities glitter at high commission

The High Commission of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam hosted a luncheon for Malaysian and Bruneian celebrities at its premises on Saturday.

The celebrities were team members who competed against each other in the Celebrity Football Fun Match (CFFM) at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

The CFFM Malaysian celebrities’ football team comprised 15 actors, singers, comedians and former national football players.

High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah said, “The high commission fully supports these sporting events as they can be seen as important medium to enhance people-to-people contacts between the two countries.”

The event also saw Malaysian celebrities present a football autographed by the players to the Malaysian high commissioner.

The CFFM event was organised in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 40th National Day and coincided with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Malaysia-Brunei diplomatic relations. – Lyna Mohamad
