The Brunei Darussalam national under-23 team fell to a 2-0 defeat against the Laos national under-23 team in an international friendly match at the Laos National Stadium in Vientiane, Laos yesterday.
The hosts opened the scoring through midfielder Damoth Thongkhamsavath in the 19th minute before doubling their lead through Thippachan Khambaion in the 33rd minute.
The warm-up game served as the Young Wasps’ final preparations before they head off to Thailand to take part in the upcoming Asean Football Federation Under-23 Football Championship.
The team, coached by Atsushi Hanita, have been drawn against Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar in Group ‘A’. – Fadhil Yunus
