The Brunei Liverpool Supporters Club recently organised a series of friendly matches for avid Liverpool supporters at the Hockey Field of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam in Tungku Link.
Three teams – Liverpool Reds, Liverpool Cream and Liverpool Yellow – involving 36 players who are fans of the English Premier League giants took part.
Players also brought scarves and banners depicting the famous club’s crest and slogan ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ to enliven the occasion.
The friendly matches served to foster closer ties among the Liverpool supporters in Brunei Darussalam, whilst also adopting a healthy lifestyle.
There is a huge fanbase of Liverpool supporters in the country evident with a great turnout during the live viewing of the UEFA Champions League Final between the Reds and Real Madrid at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong last month.
