National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) to foster cooperation, trade and investment yesterday at the Brunei Darussalam-Laos Investment and Business Forum.
The forum was officially declared open by President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith.
Signing on behalf of NCCIBD was its president Haji Abdul Saman bin Haji Ahmad while LNCCI was represented by its President Oudet Souvannavong.
The signing was witnessed by Lao Minister of Planning and Investment Khamjane Vongphosy.
The MoU commits both chambers to work closely together towards the promotion of trade, investment, economic exchange and cooperation in energy, knowledge, agriculture and agrifood to contribute to the economic growth of both countries.
The event also saw a presentation by Laos Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Director of Investment Promotion Department Vanthana Nolintha. The forum concluded with a business matching session.
